std::make_shared and std::make_unique
are superior to explict smart pointer
construction. Where we have private
constructors, we can't use them.

Add support for configuring the SSL certificates
when running the test binary as well as setting
up the SSL context.
Also adds the SSL socket headers with proper
compile-time guards for when SSL is disabled.

LibreOffice core uses that, too, and we support an even more
restricted set of compilers.
