Corrected linking steps for Mac OS X so that the number of arguments to the linker is reduced. All of the -dylib_file arguments were pushing the number of arguments past the maximum that ld could handle.

Made the following changes so that the tcsh make recipes will work from a non-terminal shell (e.g. in cron and at):
...
- Escaped all # characters in sed statements.
- Quoted all # characters in echo statements.
This change was made because tcsh treats unescaped and unquoted # characters in a command as the start of a comment when the shell is not attached to a terminal (see tcsh man page).
